24: How did you get signed to Block Entertainment?

Gorilla Zoe: We’ll you know God put his kids together man, play checkers not chess. A phone call was made and not long after that I got signed as a solo artist. Then soon after I was signed as the new member of Boyz N Da Hood and been working ever since.

24: Is it that much different working on your solo project compared to a Boyz N Da Hood project?

Gorilla Zoe: I would say that when your in a group you got a lot of ideas been added to the table compared to your solo project where its just you and your thoughts.

24: Describe your style because to me I feel like you’re a hood dude but you still have catchy hook and melody along with slick punch lines?

Gorilla Zoe: You really have been doing your research; I have been blessed with a gift from God. I am from the hood but yes I can still make good songs there is more to me then just being from the hood.

24: You actually produce also and I think that is something that separates you from a lot of new artist coming out?

Gorilla Zoe: I just try to do a little of everything and everything the good lord has blessed me with to be able to do, so I just do me.

24: What should the fans and me expect to hear from your debut album when we put that CD in the player?

Gorilla Zoe: I’m going to touch on every emotion pimp, I’m going to touch down on every subject and it’s going to be a classic album!

24: Who are some features and producers on the album?

Gorilla Zoe: I got production from Drumma Boy (Drum Squad), Jazze Pha, Mannie Fresh, and I have Jim Jones on the album Young Jeezy, Big Bio, Young Joc, Boyz N Da Hood and the album is not fully complete as yet so I’m still working.

24: Who are some artist that inspire you and make you say I have to step it up and come better?

Gorilla Zoe: Right now, no one. I have my own zone. I have my own highway and I have my blinders on, but other inspiration would be artist like 8Ball & MJG, Outkast, 2Pac, Dre, N.W.A, Biggie.

24: What are some other things you have going on that the people should know about?

Gorilla Zoe: We’ll at Block Entertainment we have a lot of things going on like a clothing line for men called "Neighborhood Super Stars" and for the ladies called "Wifie Material", Young Joc new album Aug.28, Boyz N Da Hood Oct.3 and my album Sept.25.
